About 6418 Partners

6418 Partners identifies and presents transferable federal tax credit opportunities — primarily Section 45Q carbon sequestration credits available under IRC §6418 — to CPAs, RIAs, family offices, and CFOs evaluating them on behalf of clients or their own organizations.

What We Do

We connect qualified advisors and corporate tax departments with credit holders, facilitate the due diligence process, and make sure every transaction we present comes with the documentation a buyer's own CPA or tax department needs to evaluate it independently: IRS pre-filing registration numbers, underlying technical and lifecycle documentation, and clear contractual terms.

We work with CPAs, RIAs, family offices, and CFOs — not with retail buyers directly. The transactions we present require independent tax counsel on the buyer's side before any funds move. That requirement is a feature, not an obstacle: it's what distinguishes a properly documented credit transfer from the kinds of arrangements that attract IRS scrutiny. See our FAQ for the questions your CPA is likely to raise.

What We Don't Do

We are not a law firm, accounting firm, broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser. We do not provide legal, tax, or investment advice, and we do not prepare tax returns or issue tax opinions. We do not present any transaction as risk-free, fully IRS-approved, or guaranteed — because no one can accurately make those claims about an evolving area of federal tax law, and we'd rather be useful than persuasive.

Why We Built This Site This Way

Most material in this space is written to close a deal. We wrote this site to survive a CPA's first round of questions — including the ones a sales deck usually skips. If that approach means a slower close, that's a trade we're making deliberately.

The open questions on passive activity treatment, storage method classification, and §38(c) limitations are on our How It Works page because they belong there. Advisors who find this kind of disclosure reassuring are the ones we want to work with.
